With us, you work hands-on on an AI platform that combines SaaS and on-premises, exclusively relies on open source, and successfully implements AI on-prem and on-device in sensitive areas. Together with our development team (UI, AI, backend), you shape DevOps, CI/CD, and backend development –
**with the perspective of taking on responsibility for a team yourself, starting immediately or in the medium term.**

**Role**

- As a Team Lead/Senior Developer, you are a hands-on personality with strong implementation skills at the heart of our development. You work closely with our development team (UI, AI, Backend) and take responsibility for DevOps, CI/CD, and backend development in Java. You help shape how we deliver clean, automated, and secure solutions across SaaS and on-premise deployments.

**Tasks**

- Development, operation, and further development of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
- Backend development in Java and co-creating a scalable application
- Containerization with Docker/Docker Compose; Orchestration and Scaling (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, Nomad, etc.)
- Server administration and management (Linux)
- Monitoring & Observability (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK Stack)
- SaaS and on-premise deployments including backup, disaster recovery, and high availability concepts
- Networking Fundamentals (DNS, TLS, Reverse Proxies, Firewalls)
- Contribution to security topics: vulnerability and patch management, security hardening of servers, containers, and applications (CIS Benchmarks) via code, secrets management, logging, and audit trails
- Responsible use of AI-assisted coding – we utilize commercial and open-source tools as well as on-device AI

Qualifications

- Solid knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and backend development (Java)
- Experience in building and operating scalable applications
- Hands-on mentality, even with security topics: You can write and modify code yourself to improve the system's security
- Independent, structured working style
- Passion for clean infrastructure, automation (including automated testing), and security best practices
- Intrinsically motivated personality with a high willingness to learn
- Experience with AI-assisted coding is required (commercial and open-source tools)
- Nice to have: Scripting skills (Bash, Python, Go), Java frameworks (Spring Boot, Maven/Gradle), certifications & training (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001 Foundation)
- Residence in Austria (for insurance purposes)
- Work permit for Austria
- Very good English skills; company language is German
- Criminal record check required
- References (former supervisors/team members) are an advantage

Qualifications

- At least 6 years of relevant professional experience as a Developer with a focus on DevOps and Backend
- Experience in scaleups or larger companies is an advantage.
- Experience with ISO 27001 is a plus, but not a must
- Experience with secure on-prem deployments is an advantage

Education

- Completed education in the IT field (HTL, FH, university) or a comparable qualification acquired through professional experience
- Further training, professional development, and certifications (e.g., Scrum, PRINCE2, ISO27001 Foundation, ITIL, ISTQB, IREB) are advantageous.
