We are seeking a highly skilled **Senior AI Engineer** to design, build, and deploy production-ready AI systems powered by modern **LLM, retrieval, and agentic architectures**.

This role combines strong **Python engineering expertise** with hands-on experience in **GenAI frameworks, vector databases, and cloud-native systems**. You will work on scalable AI solutions that integrate advanced retrieval, multi-step reasoning workflows, and enterprise backend services.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Design and implement **AI-powered backend services** using Python and FastAPI
- Build and optimise **Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines**
- Develop and refine **prompt engineering strategies** for production use cases
- Integrate and manage **vector databases and embedding models**
- Build multi-step and graph-based workflows using **LangChain and LangGraph**
- Implement AI communication patterns using **FastMCP**
- Work with multi-agent frameworks (e.g., CrewAI, AutoGen, Taskweave) where applicable
- Deploy and maintain solutions on **Azure Cloud**, including Azure Functions
- Process and transform large datasets using **Pandas and NumPy**
- Implement **CI/CD pipelines**, testing strategies, and containerised deployments (Docker)
- Ensure **responsible AI practices**, including bias mitigation and ethical considerations
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams to deliver scalable AI systems

**Required Qualifications**

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
- Strong **Python engineering** background
- Hands-on experience with:
- FastAPI
- Pandas & NumPy
- RAG systems
- Prompt engineering
- Vector databases & embeddings
- LangChain & LangGraph
- FastMCP
- Experience with **Azure cloud services** (including Azure Functions)
- Strong understanding of **CI/CD, testing, version control, packaging, and Docker**
- Experience working with **large datasets and data transformations**
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

**Nice to Have**

- Experience with multi-agent frameworks (CrewAI, AutoGen, Taskweave)
- Familiarity with additional cloud platforms and AI services
- Knowledge of data engineering (pipelines, integration, warehousing)
- Understanding of **AI ethics and responsible AI practices**
