**The Opportunity**

A rare opportunity to launch the first Sumosan in Austria and establish one of Vienna’s leading international dining destinations. Sumosan Vienna is an 86-cover restaurant with a summer terrace, in the 1st district, opening softly on 1 December 2026.

The General Manager will have full responsibility for the business — from pre-opening through launch

and ongoing operations — while becoming the face of the brand in the local market.

The role reports to the Opening Partner, with a functional line to Sumosan Brand HQ, and works closely with the international Sumosan leadership team.

**Qualifications**

We are looking for a proven hospitality leader with:

- 8+ years’ experience in premium restaurant operations.
- Minimum 3 years as a General Manager or Senior Restaurant Manager.
- Full P&L responsibility, with strong commercial and operational leadership.
- Pre-opening experience — opening a premium restaurant from zero through to launch
- Strong understanding of wine and beverage programmes.
- Deep understanding of Vienna’s hospitality market.
- An established local professional network is a strong advantage.
- Fluent German and English
- Russian or Ukrainian is an advantage.
- EU work authorisation.
- An inspirational leader with a passion for exceptional hospitality.
