Cloud Solutions Architect (m/f/d)

**Your responsibilities:**


**Software, system and cloud architecture:** You develop architectures for software, system and cloud solutions in line with ILF Group standards and support their implementation and integration into the existing IT landscape working closely with Identity, Networking, Security, Infrastructure, Application and DevOps teams to ensure coherent solution delivery



**Infrastructure as Code (IaC):** You define, further develop and implement Infrastructure as Code concepts for Microsoft Azure environments.



**Cloud IT landscape:** You act as the technical design authority for Microsoft Azure-based cloud solutions, cloud infrastructure patterns and related implementation standards across the ILF Group; and you develop and establish a sustainable, efficient, consistent and future-proof cloud IT landscape.



**Cloud architecture, security and governance:** You define cloud architecture, security and IT governance standards and policies to ensure compliance, continuous optimization and practical applicability.



**Technology evaluation:** You observe technological developments, evaluate new technologies and assess their potential integration into the existing IT architecture landscape.



**Communication and documentation:** You communicate architecture decisions transparently to stakeholders and document the enterprise cloud architecture in a structured and comprehensible way.



**Solution consulting:** You advise project and application teams from the initial idea through solution design to prototypical implementation.



**Technical leadership:** You provide technical leadership for solution implementation, coordinate interdisciplinary teams and ensure compliance with architectural standards.




**Application Requirements:**

Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent professional experience.



Cloud architecture certification desirable, e.g. Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator or Azure Developer.



Cloud security, governance and operational knowledge desirable, e.g. Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect, Azure Security Engineer, ITIL, COBIT, CISSP or similar.



Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud services and hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code.



Experience in architectural design of complex IT landscapes, including cloud platforms, enterprise systems and integration scenarios.



Knowledge of common enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and a solid understanding of IT governance principles.



Familiarity with DevOps processes, modern deployment models and cloud operating models.



Infrastructure as Code and DevOps knowledge desirable, including practical experience with tools such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.



Additional architecture framework knowledge such as TOGAF or ArchiMate is an advantage.

In this role, you will help shape ILF’s Group-wide cloud architecture and contribute to a modern, secure and scalable IT landscape that supports our international engineering and consulting business. You will work at the intersection of business requirements, technology strategy and implementation, translating complex needs into practical cloud solutions that are robust, efficient and future-proof.



In this role, you will design, govern and support the implementation of secure, scalable and standards-compliant IT solutions, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure and alignment with ISO 27001 / cybersecurity framework expectations.



You will be part of a team that develops and establishes cloud standards, governance principles and architecture guidelines for Microsoft Azure environments across the ILF Group. Your work will involve defining architecture concepts, supporting solution design, advising project and application teams, and ensuring that cloud solutions are aligned with security, operational and cost requirements.



This role requires close collaboration with stakeholders from IT, business units, project teams and external partners. You will communicate architecture decisions clearly, moderate discussions between technical and non-technical audiences, and help interdisciplinary teams align around common architecture principles and implementation approaches.



As Cloud Solutions Architect, you will take ownership of key architecture deliverables and contribute to the continuous improvement of ILF’s cloud operating model, Infrastructure as Code practices and enterprise architecture documentation. You will bring a pragmatic mindset, strong analytical skills and a hands-on understanding of how cloud architecture can be translated into reliable, sustainable and business-oriented solutions.
