Biomedical Analyst (BMA) or Research Assistant (all genders)
**Tasks:**
- Maintain induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) cultures and support the team to establish iPSC-based disease models for Diabetes research.
- Differentiate stem cells into functional pancreatic islet clusters with the support of responsible scientists
- Isolate PBMCs from blood samples for immunological assays
- Carry out experiments independently (after successful training) from planning to analysis and documentation in an electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) & LIMS system
- Manage quality assurance and deliver data in a timely manner
- Support the team in the daily lab routine
Skills and Abilities:
- BMA, BTA, or Biology Laboratory Technician, bachelor’s or master’s degree in biology or related fields with several years of experience in mammalian cell culture
- Substantial hands-on experience in human pluripotent stem cell culture and differentiation of pancreatic islet cell clusters is highly desirable
- Experience in handling mammalian 3D suspension cell cultures (spinner flasks/ bioreactor) is a plus
- Multi-parametric flow cytometric characterization and purification of cells
- Highly self-motivated and competent to significantly contribute to research projects
- High degree of initiative and flexibility with the ability to deliver results under challenging timelines
- Good communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff, collaborators, and customers
- Good command of the English language

**We offer**
an unlimited contract with a minimum monthly salary from € 3357 gross based on 40 hours/week. Overpayment is possible, depending on qualifications and work experience.
